This unit has XLR / 1/4 combo jacks, meaning that when use an XLR cable (Microphone cable) it will engage the preamps necessary to use your microphone as long as its a dynamic microphone. Condenser microphones require 48v phantom power which this unit those not support. So as long as you are using a Dynamic Microphone, you should be all set!
